I have lots of life experience that gives me a foundation for coaching and psychotherapy. When I was fifteen, I lived the trauma of my mother committing suicide. I suffered a debilitating brain injury later in my life. I have come through the other side of both of these experiences. I live the life I want.
I have been married to the same wonderful man since 1984 and we have raised our two amazing children together. We have also started and run several business together. We moved to Nevada County over 20 years ago to live in the kind of environment we enjoy.
Most recently, I have been working in an addiction recovery program and have enjoyed getting to know some very unique and talented clients. It has been an honor that they have let me into their lives. They have taught me so much!
I enjoy working with clients of all ages and backgrounds. I am particularly experienced at addressing stress, anxiety, depression, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), parenting, relationships, brain injury and addiction. My life experience and my formal education have come together so that I can pursue my passion for helping people. I like to connect with my clients and create a safe environment for exploration. Each client is unique, so I believe in tailoring our time together to meet your specific needs.
I am particularly interested, and am continuing my training, in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy.
Counseling is a healing process. Please don’t wait any longer, if you want or need help. We can work together so you can start living the life you want. I’m looking forward to getting to know you.
